What Does Red Light Blinking Mean in Epson L220?
Epson L220 printer comes with an integrated low-level ink warning system. The blinking of red light in your Epson L220 is just an indication of a low-level of ink. The system calculates the level of ink by the number of pages printer. It has been programmed to work according to an ink tank capable of 4000 prints.
When the print count reaches to 3800 or up, the printer’s program assumes that the ink level is getting down and this it starts blinking the red light and ultimately stops functioning. A user can easily overcome the error by detaching the ink tank from the printer while the red light blinks.
How to Solve Epson Cartridges Recognition Errors
Epson Printers are integrated with special IC chips that prevent the use of third-party cartridges or ink tanks by not identifying them. If you use such ink tanks or cartridges, your printer will display such error and stop functioning.
In order to solve the error, you just need to restart your printer and the error message will not display. However, if the error still persists, it is best to replace the non-authentic parts with the authentic ones that are recommended by Epson.
